Cardiology is a field which deals with diseases of heart and blood vessels. Common and important diseases include high blood pressure, angina, heart attacks, irregular heart rhythms, diseases of the valves, cardiomyopathies, congenital anomalies, and heart failure. Cardiologists are experts of these diseases. They will take history and examine the patient. If required, get ECG and relevant tests. Once diagnosed, they will start treatment on out-patient basis or after admitting in the hospital.
